Spook Light
It is documented that Indian tribes were relocated in the area in the 1800s. Often the specific date of 1836 or 1866 is listed as the first sighting.

The Investigation
A group of us drove from Kansas City Missouri to the Hornet Spook Light which is located near Joplin Missouri and crossing into the Oklahoma boarders, there are two roads 50 hwy and 40 hwy.
When we first arrived during the day and planned out our investigation, we found many spray painted symbols and other graffiti on the main road. It is a beautiful place with lots of trees and tall grass and large fields.
Upon returning at 9pm, the other team members decided to should sit along the road side with our recorders and equipment and see what we could get.
The team sat along side 50 hwy, this is a popular hangout for teen and it was after all the day after Halloween. We had lots of yelling and cars passing on this road very busy.
One of the investigators had thought to bring an offering to the spirits (sweet tobacco) being on Indian land. We heard many cracks of branches and leaves falling from the trees, lots of shadows and at one point Debbe was sitting Indian style with the EMF detector on her left leg when suddenly without warning it was knocked off her leg and on to the ground with such force she thought a rock had been thrown.
On another occasion another investigator was kind of just laying down relaxing enjoying the stars and suddenly she jumped up and said she thought something was getting closer and closer to her head so she got up fast. We drove up and down the road trying to pick the best spot to see the spook light. It was decided to go to the dirt road that is 40 hwy, the feeling I got were very clam and very welcoming and easy on this road not anything like the other road 50 hwy. It was a quite country gravel road...We had heard the ball of light often can appear on either road. We took a few pictures and asked questions of the entities that might be present. This is where we captured Native American tongue on digital recorder.
Although we did not get to see the spook light Debbe had a wonderful time with the group of investigators and it was a rewarding experience...
Photography the last three have unexplained images.
